October 2001 marks the date of our first completed Whimsical order, now hanging in the child care facilities of First Baptist Church of Jackson, MS. As you can see, Fiesta adds a playful element that sets the tone for a fun environment.
Congratulations to Sales Representative Margaret Gilbert
Margaret knows her clients. Beth Green and Associates, for instance, does 99% of their work in the areas of hospitality and corporate and are usually interested only in the more conservative wall covering patterns. The playful designs of Whimsical didn’t seem to fit with this firm’s specialty. But Margaret was so impressed by the Whimsical collection, she felt inspired to show designer Jennifer Davis.
Deadline? Color Change? How Can We Help You?
When Jennifer Davis saw the Whimsical book, her eyes lit up! She was working on a church remodeling project and had been looking for a fun pattern on Type II vinyl. A deadline was approaching, so Jennifer selected patterns that very day, August 30, 2001.
Jennifer selected two patterns: Fiesta and Lucky Charms. She wanted to change the ground cover of the Lucky Charms pattern. However, she needed the strikeoff the next day to present to the client.
Margaret called us quickly and asked, “Is it possible to get a strikeoff in 24 hours?” Our answer: “You bet!”
The memos and custom strikeoff were delivered the next day and the client approved the selections.
Summary of Whimsical Debut:
The order for wallcovering to cover 74 individual rooms was placed with us on September 12, 2001. Th first delivery was made on September 22. By September 31, the entire order of 748 yards of Fiesta Mythic Fire and 1811 yards of Lucky Charms 31368A had been delivered.
